SEO – IMP Factors That Play Role in Indexing Your Website

Changing business dynamics have made search engine optimization the need of the hour. Nobody bothers to look for results beyond page 3. Hence it is important that your website is optimized for readers and for search engines also. There are numerous factors that are taken into account when indexing your page, I have tried to create a list of some most important factors that are looked at while indexing your page.
1. Content: Quality content can bring a paradigm shift to the indexing of your webpage. Your web content should be well presented and key word rich. Effective web content is where the writer successfully weaves keywords to create the required impact.
2. Heading/ URL: The first thing that is noticed by the surfer or the engine is the name of your webpage or the URL of your webpage. Keeping this in mind, make sure that you have included relevant keywords in the heading. Readers will always click on the link that they think has the most relevant content. So it is imperative that your link contains the keywords. You do not want to make a bad first impression.
3. Keywords: Every webpage is based on a theme. Key words are the pointers or the indicators that your website contains the relevant data. It is important to choose the keywords wisely. Key word definition needs to be broad. The wider the scope of your keywords, the better is the reach of your webpage. In short relevance of key words is directly proportional to the traffic on your webpage.
4. Updating your content: Only optimizing your webpage won’t help. You need to have a sustained ranking. Search engines show the most recent data on the topic; hence it becomes important to keep your webpage updated.
5. Linking: It is important that your website is well linked externally. The better your site is promoted the worthier your site is in eyes of search engines. Do not forget to link your site internally as it will only help in SEO.
6. Name your images: If you have images on your site, it is handy to name them with keywords or relevant tag. This way it features in results.
7. Last but not the least make sure that your page loads quickly. If your page is heavy and takes time to load, lesser is probability of the page being featured by search engines in results.
Please note that this is not the complete list of factors taken into account while indexing your page. This list is purely based on my research. As mentioned Earlier, there are numerous other factors that are involved in SEO and above mentioned are only handful of factors amongst them.
